Now, before we get three strikes, hopefully we can muster a good size group to attend the D9800 Melbourne Conference in March. The venue is only 5 km‘s from Footscray so I expect to have lots of members attending the terrific line up of speakers and social events. Please let Darcy know if you are going so that he can note everyone for our Club dinner.
Foundation month is now completed and we had an informative update from our own PDG John Davis last week to round out the month. We appreciated his insights into the Future Vision and beyond the pilot. We also applaud his dedication to Rotary which has seen John recognised with 5 Paul Harris sapphire pins—the latest for his efforts at District level—truly a great achievement that should be an inspiration for all members, current and future. Now we are moving into family month and while Christmas is a time where most families get together and re-connect after a busy year, we too in Rotary need to come together and see what is possible with combined efforts to make our projects come to life. From written goals or thoughts and ideas to works that blossom and reach their full potential in helping better our community in some way or other.
