Progress is being made with the Atley Music scholarship but with the school year ending the presenta-tion of this award will take place in February. Ron Hunt is a real champion for our Club with key fund-raising efforts—the sausage sizzles; raffle and golf day—without these efforts our Club would be going backwards at a rapid rate, and therefore not able to assist the community as much as we do. It is beholden upon all members to do their bit to help. Ron will need an active assistant for the upcoming Golf day in April as work has already started. Anyone interested in learning to put the event together please speak to Ron or let me know. This is an important event as it raises funds from outside our membership. Please support it where you can.
PE Maria has also been very busy within the New Generations area with RYLA and the upcoming Na-tional Science Forum in Perth—both of which we have sponsored students to attend. We are also pro-viding funding for 3 places at the VCE summer school held at Gilmore Girls College by Melb Uni students. It is a great way to help some students get a head start that may otherwise not be available to them. I am really proud of all our hard workers and what they are able to achieve—it really makes you feel like part of an extended family. It is really easy to help so if you have an interest in any project join in;
